General Terms and Conditions for Events of Knightsbridge Academy
GENERAL PROVISIONS
By completing the electronic (online) registration or registering by any other means for an event (“Event”) organised and/or promoted by Knightsbridge Academy Limited (“KBAC”), a company registered in England, United Kingdom, a binding contract (“Contract”) is formed between the participant and KBAC (or the relevant Event organiser). This Contract is subject to these General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”). By completing the electronic (online) registration or registering by other means, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these GTC.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
Alteration of Programme
The Event programme is accurate at the time of publication by KBAC. However, KBAC reserves the right to amend, modify, or remove items from the programme, adjust the schedule, or make other changes at its sole discretion and without prior notice. KBAC also reserves the right to postpone or cancel an Event.
KBAC, its management, organisers, and any third parties involved in the Event shall not be liable, whether in contract or tort (including negligence), for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, damage, loss of profit, or inconvenience incurred by a participant as a result of such amendments, modifications, postponement, or cancellation.
Breach of Contract and Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KBAC, its management, organisers, and any third parties involved in the Event exclude all liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise. In particular, they shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from the non-performance or improper performance of the Contract, except in cases of fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
Force Majeure
KBAC, its management, organisers, and any third parties involved in the Event shall not be deemed to be in breach of contract or liable for any delay or failure in performance where such delay or failure results from an event beyond their reasonable control (a "Force Majeure Event"). Force Majeure Events include, but are not limited to:

Acts of God

Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, storms, etc.)

War, insurrection, or civil unrest

Acts of terrorism

Governmental actions, embargoes, or restrictions
-
Epidemics or pandemics
-
Fire, strikes, or industrial disputes

Any event considered as Force Majeure under international practice
In the event of cancellation due to Force Majeure:

The participant shall not be entitled to a refund of the registration or application fee, or any similar fees.

If the Event is postponed due to Force Majeure and the participant is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, they shall not be entitled to a refund.
DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY
KBAC and/or the Event organiser handle all personal data in compliance with UK data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
To register for a congress, course, training, or other educational activity or Event, KBAC collects, stores, and processes participants’ personal data. Such data is used exclusively for Event planning and execution. Personal data will only be shared with third parties where strictly necessary for organisational purposes (e.g. hotels, venue operators).
Unless a participant explicitly opts out during registration, KBAC may send information regarding similar events in the future.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Event registration office (contact details available on the Event website) or to the official legal email address of Knightsbridge Academy. Any verbal cancellation or cancellation request sent via text message to any member of Knightsbridge Academy will not be accepted and shall be deemed invalid.
Refunds will be issued as follows:
Online Events

Cancellations received 60 days or more before the first Event day → 100% refund

Cancellations received 31 to 59 days before the first Event day → 50% refund

Cancellations received less than 30 days before the first Event day → No refund
Registrations may be transferred to another person up to 7 days before the Event. An administration fee of 15% of the registration fee applies.
Hybrid & Onsite Events
For the purposes of these GTC, a Hybrid Event is an event that includes both online and onsite components. If any part of the event is conducted onsite, it shall be classified as an Onsite Event for cancellation and refund purposes.

Cancellations received 75 days or more before the first Event day → 100% refund

Cancellations received 46 to 74 days before the first Event day → 50% refund

Cancellations received less than 45 days before the first Event day → No refund
Registrations may be transferred to another person up to 30 days before the Event. An administration fee of 15% of the registration fee applies.
If the payment was made via credit card, any bank or payment service fees (such as Stripe) that were charged during the transaction will be deducted from the refund amount.
MISCELLANEOUS

In the event of any inconsistency between different language versions of these GTC, the English version shall prevail.

If any provision of these GTC is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a legally valid alternative that most closely reflects the original intention. The same applies to any contractual gaps.
GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

The Contract shall be governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales, excluding any conflict of law provisions.

The applicability of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna Sales Convention, 1980) is expressly excluded.

Jurisdiction: The courts of London, United Kingdom, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with this Contract.
