Dr. Burak Demiralp, was graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1996 and obtained his PhD degree from Health Science Institute of Hacettepe University in 2000. He was awarded by The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) as a science fellow and studied at the “Center for Craniofacial Regeneration” at the University of Michigan, U.S.A between 1999 and 2001. His research was focused on “Hormonal controls of bone remodeling”. During this period he also taught periodontics at the undergraduate clinics of the University of Michigan.

He got the third place at the Warner Lambert Hatton Award at the 30th Annual Meeting of the AADR in Chicago, U.S.A in 2001. He has been awarded for “ASBMR Young Investigator Award”, which was given by the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research in 2001. Recently he is working as a professor at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology. He also has Advanced Implant Training Certificate from Misch Implant Institute. Professionally his practice and teaching is focused mainly in advanced implant surgery, treatment of peri-implantitis, implant treatment for periodontally compromised patients and perioplastic surgery.
